The Greek Supernova Search Team is also
collaborating with the Professional Greek Astronomers. The members of
the team participate in a Seeing Measure Project, led by the Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki. The purpose of this project is to give
statistical data (an average value) about the real astronomical seeing
in Greece. The telescopes of the team are used to make Seeing Measures
of the sky in northern Greece using CCD cameras and a Hartman like mask.
Finally, a sophisticated software is used, especially developed for
this project by the team of Professor John
Seiradakis. You can download a guide for the project in Greek language
here. (PDF
